(12 WEEK PROGRAM)
A weekly, hands-on learning program that introduces youth to designing, building, and programming LEGO robots consistently and reliably. We teach different concepts such as line following, motion sensors, gyro sensors, counting of lines, and border alignment to consistently navigate and position the robot.
(3 MONTH PROGRAM)
A competition team guided by our experienced youth mentors to meet the intensive challenge of researching, designing, building & programming LEGO robots that navigate the missions of a robot game. Our goal is to help everybody from rookie teams to experienced teams participate in FIRST Lego League competitions.
(1 DAY)
A playful introductory STEM program
designed to ignite curiosity & build habits of
learning with hands-on robot activities.
(ONGOING)
We work with administrators, teachers, parents and students to plan & design a robotics curriculum. The robotics curriculum includes training, instruction & assessment to meet current teaching standards and learning practices.
My name is Jonathan and I'm 13 years old. I'm a student at Rancho del Rey Middle School. Four years ago, I joined the robotics club at my elementery school. I enjoy robotics because it gives me the opportunity to meet new people. I am excited to be a part of Operation: Build-A-Bot so that I can share my love of Legos with you!
My name is Amelie and I'm in 6th Grade. I've competed in robotics for two years at Discovery Charter School. I like mentoring kids in robotics, and showing them the endless possibilities in designing robots, programming, coding, and completing robot game missions.
I'm Kensington, and I'm 14 years old. I go to Eastlake High School. I joined robotics when I was an 8th grader, and enjoyed robotics ever since. I was a builder on the team and I enjoy engineering. I look forward to helping kids with building different attachments and completing different missions.
My name is Emilie and I'm a student at Francis Parker, where I build robots, play golf, water polo, beach volleyball and compete on the Speech & Debate Team. I look forward to helping kids work together to solve robot challenges.
My name is Jasper and I’m a student at Francis Parker, where I play golf, soccer and lacrosse. In 5th Grade, I joined the robotics team to learn how to program robots with my friends. I look forward to mentoring other students and helping them learn how much fun robots are.
My name is Siarah and I'm a student at Eastlake High School. I've competed in robotics since 5th grade. Robotics can create lots of opportunities to learn technology and be creative, and at the same time is a lot of fun. I am excited to be in Operation: Build-A-Bot to inspire kids to discover their own passion for robotics.
My name is Isabela, and I am 13 years old. I'm a student at Discovery Middle School. I've competed in robotics for 4 years. My specialty is programming. I can't wait to show kids what robotics is all about! A few things about me is that I love animals and reading!
I'm Kendell and I've competed in robotics for over a year. I like playing video games and writing.
My name is Mason, and I go to Bonita Vista High School. I've competed in FIRST Lego League robotics, mentored FIRST Lego League teams, and led STEAM Camps. In my free time, I enjoy volleyball, running, volunteering at church, hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family!
